Ok Ok, so my blog has been in a COMA since July, SORRY - that was a very traumattic time for me. I've just never been very good at journaling. It was the usual course of life that stopped me from blogging.
1. Work (12+hours a day)
2. Baby-sitting Nephew
3. Helping Mom with cakes
4. Laundry/house cleaning
5. Sleep
etc. etc. etc.
See my life is SOOOO exciting.

TWILIGHT FAN...I ADMIT IT
I'm a bigger fan of the book though, I thought they could have done a lot better on the Twilight Movie - and I am reserving GREAT HOPE that the new director (for New Moon) will be able to do much better in the second movie, especially with a larger budget.
I went to the midnight show after dinner at Olive Garden with my sisters & brother-in-law. We were all dressed to the nines in Red & Black (in honor of the books jacket colors), everyone at the restaruant was stearing at us - it was hillarious. I took the next day off of work & went to another showing of it later that night. Then we went and saw it two more times (about a month apart).
My name is Lisa and I am a Twilight Fan. Where's MY Edward?

TREE FALLS
If a tree falls in the forest & there is no body there to hear it, does it make a sound?
A few weeks ago, I was able to answer this question with a resounding NO. We were at my grandparents cabin for the weekend. The day had been beautiful & warm, we went to the flea market and had a picnic lunch. Then on to the lake where both Levi & the dogs got in. We went back to the cabin to fix dinner when the wind started to pick up. It was strange, it didn't blow in one direction but more in a circle. Dad called them micro bursts, said that this is what causes the tree tops to snap off because all the branches & weight is on the top of the trees they don't have a good root system. There was also this strainge greenish-yellow haze in the air, just kind of lingering not really going anywhere dispite the high winds.
We were all in the kitchen, I was cutting up some veg for a new salad that I was making. We heard a large crack then all we saw was pine branches & pine cones flying through the air straight toward our kitchen window where the table was at. Dad, Nicole & I all went out to see if it had hit anything as the cars were parked just to the right of the kitchen & front porch. Luckily, it was just the top 30 feet of the tree that broke off, leaving the other 50 feet of tree still standing, so it missed the cars by about 5 feet.
Dad walked over to the neighbors to look at the remains of the tree still standing so he could devise a way to take it down without hitting the powerline running to the cabin just below the break line. Nicole & I were on the porch, I was busy looking at our cars thinking that was a close call when I felt a shove at my shoulder. I turned & out of the corner of my eye I see sparks flying, I looked up and there was another tree coming down fast, hard & right towards us all with no warning, no sound -- it was like the wind just nuged it enough that it was just laying itself down in slow motion. Nicole & I were only able to take a few steps back, the whole time our legs were being pelted with debris from the Pine. Then it was all over, the wind died down. We walked back to where we had been standing at the porch edge now covered in tree limbs, pine needles, and bark. I looked over, & my dad's car suffered some pretty heavy damage in that fall. It broke out the back window, dented in the roof, dented in the back passenger door, & completely smashed up about 3/4's of the windshield. My car had a quarter sized dent in the hood. Both cars were splattered in tree blood (pitch), and a strange yellow powder. We found out later that the greenish-yellow haze was a pollen cloud so when our cars were splattered by the pitch the pollen stuck to it. That tree was estimated to be approximately 80+ feet tall.
We spent all the next day clearing the stupid thing & only got about 1/2 the way through. You know trees don't look like they have all that many branches up there swaying in the wind, until they are down on the ground.
I felt so blessed that we lived, that we had been so close to being injured or death. Heavenly Father blessed us all that day.

Hartley Girl has not been heard from for the past few months due to a very busy summer. In fact, this is the 1st time she has been able to spend more than an hour online since April. Yard work and camping have gotten the better of her, not to mention record heat & gas prices.
More to be mentioned later.

Princess...who's a princess???

Intelligent and kind. Your beauty goes much further than your apperance. Also, you make judgements of people based on their personality and not their looks. Attaining all the knowledge that you can is one of your major goals in life, but you are also a person who can make things happen.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
